Çeciir Pilavı just requires rice, vermicelli noodles, vegetable oil or butter, water or stock, salt and black pepper. To start the preparation the vermicelli is cooked in oil or butter until they are slightly toasted brown. This step brings a nutty flavor in the dish. Subsequently, rice that was washed and then drained is incorporated into the pot and stir fry cooked for a few minutes together with the vermicelli and then cooked a while more to allow the rice to take on the flavor.

After the rice has been oiled and combines well with the vermicelli, water or stock is then added into the pot . The kind of liquid used can have an impact on the flavour; chicken or vegetable stock is usually used. Finally, some salt and little black pepper is stir in then put to boil and once it boils, it is then covered and let to simmer until the rice is tender.
