Former boxer Barry McGuigan on I’m A Celebrity. Get Me Out of Here!, has found life to be more heartbreaking since the passing of Barry McGuigan Daughter from bowel cancer on July 23, 2019, at 33 years of age.
Barry McGuigan Daughter was born in 1986 to Barry and Sandra, who married in 1981. She had three brothers, although she was the first child of their parents.
After further study in drama in Dublin, Barry McGuigan Daughter had an acting career, featuring in TV shows like Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope and in movies such as Philomena and Mammal.
At the age of 11, leukemia attacked Danika, and then came two years of chemotherapy.
During this time, her father had to leave the sets of The Boxer, which he was shooting with Daniel Day-Lewis, and he stayed with his daughter for three weeks when she tested positive for leukemia. Luckily, Danika overcame leukemia and recovered.
In June 2019, she started having very bad stomach pain while working on a movie. After seeing a doctor, she was told she had advanced bowel cancer.
Unfortunately, her health worsened rapidly. She died within five weeks of having knowledge.
