In mid-morning break, Appointed Headteacher Fiona Elias was approached by a 14-year-old student at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman. Ms. Elias said that on Saturday morning she was suddenly assaulted with a multi tool knife that cut her arms and hand. Special Needs Coordinator Liz Hopkin also stabbed and suffered injuries to her neck, back, legs and arms when she intervened to help. He then turned on a Year 10 student, stabbing her in the shoulder, until staff workers subdued him.
