Despite all the glitz and glamour, Alisabeth was able to diverge from her family’s Hollywood path and pursue her own career.

For more than 16 years, starting from the age of five, she took intense training in modern dance. Kathryne Brown: A baker, an entrepreneur and an actress
Kathryne was born in Los Angeles on February 10, 1971 and is Tyne Daly’s second daughter. She grew up around the entertainment business just like her sisters which regularly involved attending film shoots and public appearances with her mother. During an interview in 1985, Tyne Daly recalled he quirky memory of Kathryne introducing her to The Beatles, this fun memory shows the great bond that exists between children and their parents. Furthermore, Kathryne alongside her mother acted in popular television shows such as Cagney and Lacey and Judging Amy. This developed her attachment to the performing arts and she has performed since she was a teenager.
Kathryne and her father had an interesting conversation in which she speeks about growing up in a successful family of actors in the industry that did not have enough diversity for people of color, particularly Black women. With all the pressure and expectations, it was very difficult for her to say she wanted to follow in her family’s footsteps. She thought people would judge her for being an actress. With which she agrees. She wanted to pursue acting and never lost sight of her objectives. As a result, she never allowed such circumstances to prevent her from doing so, eventually earning a degree in acting while residing in New York. Despite her family history, it was very hard to admit that she wanted to start an actress career, losing focus on her childhood bully. Even though she has stated in the past, it does not seem exact what she has said. If you looked at it this way, she would be bullied by the expectation ascribed to her.
Kathryne and Mark, whom she met in Oshawa, partnered on her new vision which was turning out to be a great entrepreneurship spirit. Today, she owns a successful bakery and the couple wear their passion on their sleeves: food, travel and movies inspired them to start Five Petal Creations, a bakery that creates beautiful cakes inspired by heirlooms. This explains why Kathryne admires making cakes so much; it allows her to use her artistic skills in a novel way and combine her two passions: cooking and just making something to engage the community.
Kathryne wore the tattered coat of motherhood with grace while raising her two daughters, Posy and Poppy, alongside her business.
